Our building, located at Kuninga 30, was built in 1696 and has undergone four different expansion phases to achieve its current dimensions. Originally built as the main building of a rectory, the house stood sadly unused for decades until 2017 when renovation work began, giving it a new lease on life. The native residents of Pärnu, who had pondered the fate of the building, found a deeper desire within themselves to contribute to the city’s development and give the people something where history tastefully meets the present.
Through the renovation of this architectural heritage site, Café Pastoraat and Boutique Hotel Rosenplänter were created to coexist here. Maximum effort was put into restoring the old building down to the finest details. However, everything that is new and recreated has been custom-made or belongs to the ranks of world-class design, carefully integrated according to a remarkably strong vision. As a result, it is difficult to distinguish what was there before and what came later.
Just as the kitchen is the heart of the home, Chef Siiri Aasma has put her whole heart into our kitchen. Her love for food is evident in every detail of our imaginative yet simple menu, always with the same goal in mind: to ensure that every guest leaves richer with a memorable experience.
Pärnu city’s earliest breakfast spoils early risers with abundance, accompanied by the delicate aroma of locally-made pastries and fresh coffee blending together.
In the à la carte menu, the dishes take turns complimenting the local fresh ingredients and flavors from different parts of the world.
